Support Services
- Serving as a mentor
- Tutoring (GED program, ESOL, Basic Literacy, elementary or high school students)
- Assisting staff with events (Golf Tournament, Light the Way campaign, Annual Dinner, Community Resource Fair, Graduate Recognition, etc.)
- Craft projects with adolescents
- Facilitating classes for adolescents (computer, interview skills, preparing a resume, vocational skills, etc.)
- Administration (switchboard, filing, etc.)
- Building & grounds maintenance projects
- Transportation assistance
Food Pantry
- Sponsor a food drive
- Stock food pantry
- Assemble food bags
- Insert literature into food bags
Christmas Outreach
- Buy gifts
- Monetary donations for gifts
- Plan parties
- Distribute on-site gifts
- Shopping (funds provided)
- Clerical support (pre-season and during)
Advocacy/Awareness
- Visit the Center and be aware of the many programs available
- Be aware of activities for families such as workshops, flu clinics, adult education, etc.
- Be aware of collaborative agencies and resources available to families through these partnerships such as: Spartanburg County Adult Education, DHEC, DSS , S.C. Vocational Rehabilitation, and Job Service.
- Distribute District Five Family Ministries information within your church.
- Invite an MTCC representative to speak to your group.
